What services does Hugh Ledger Accounting provide?
Outsourced accounting, bookkeeping, financial reporting, cash flow management, forensic accounting, and advisory, all as one connected relationship rather than six separate services.
What happens after I reach out?
A free discovery call, then a proposal built around what you actually need, an engagement agreement, onboarding, a full financial review and cleanup, and systems alignment before ongoing monthly support begins. See How We Work for the full breakdown.
How long does onboarding take?
Most clients are fully onboarded within 2 to 3 weeks, including reconciliations and a chart of accounts review before anything goes live.
Do I need to switch accounting software?
No. Hugh Ledger works inside the systems you already use, including QuickBooks, Sage Intacct, NetSuite, and others, rather than requiring a platform switch.
Does Hugh Ledger Accounting handle tax filing or tax planning?
No. Hugh Ledger Accounting does not provide tax preparation or tax planning services. We keep your books and reporting accurate and hand off clean numbers to your CPA.
Do you only work with businesses in California?
No. Hugh Ledger works with clients nationwide, with a base in Valley Center, California and particular depth in Southern California.
Who works on my books?
A dedicated accountant who knows your business inside out. You’ll have one consistent point of contact, supported by the full Hugh Ledger team and 27+ years of accounting experience behind every set of books.
What if my books are already a mess or behind?
That is exactly what the financial review and cleanup step is for. Reconciliations, general ledger cleanup, and historical corrections happen before ongoing reporting begins, so you start from accurate numbers.
What if I only need help with one specific problem, not a full relationship?
That’s fine. Tell us what’s going on during your discovery call and we’ll scope exactly what you need, whether that’s a one-time cleanup or ongoing support.
How much does this cost, and is the first call free?
Your first discovery call is free, with no obligation. Pricing depends on the complexity and current state of your books, so we scope it together on that call rather than publishing a one-size-fits-all rate.
